The World Health Organization reports that Japan, China, Singapore, Italy, and Greece are among the world's fittest countries! So what are they eating that we should know about?
Italy: Tomatoes, Beans, Chick peas, Whole wheat pasta, Olive oil, and Balsamic vinegar.
Japan: Fish, Seaweed, Green tea, and Soy. The Japanese don't eat until their full. In Japan the "ceremony" of eating is observed and most individuals stop eating when they are 80% full.
Sweden: Yogurt, Thick whole grain bread, Nuts and Berries.
What do all these countries have in common? Most food is made fresh, from the earth to the table. They use less preservatives and chemicals, and their foods do not contain "mystery" ingredients. Start reading labels. If you can’t pronounce it, it’s probably not doing your body any good. Know what you're putting in your mouth, after all we are what we eat!
